We Say
The Scrub Guard is one of the simplest but most important upgrades you can make to a safe wash setup. Its job is straightforward: help release dirt from your wash mitt and keep it away from the paint where it can do damage.
Unlike basic grit guards that rely mainly on gravity, the raised grid design of the Scrub Guard actively agitates the wash media as you rinse it, helping to dislodge trapped grit and contamination more effectively. That extra mechanical action makes a real difference, especially when washing heavily soiled vehicles.
It also gives you a stable platform to work against, so you’re not just swishing a mitt around in water and hoping for the best. Over time, that consistency helps reduce wash-induced marring and keeps finishes looking better for longer.
In our opinion, if you’re serious about minimising swirl marks, this is a small, low-cost addition that pays for itself very quickly — which is exactly why we keep it as part of the Carbon Collective wash range.
Key Features
Description
The Carbon Collective Scrub Guard Bucket Insert is designed to improve wash safety by helping remove dirt and grit from wash mitts and pads during rinsing. Its raised grid structure allows contamination to be scrubbed free and settle below the insert, reducing the chance of it being reintroduced to the paint.
By providing a firm surface to agitate against, the Scrub Guard improves consistency during the wash process and helps maintain cleaner wash media throughout the job — particularly useful when dealing with heavily soiled vehicles.
Benefits:
✓ Helps release trapped grit from wash mitts
✓ Encourages dirt to settle away from the wash media
✓ Reduces the risk of wash-induced swirl marks
✓ Simple upgrade for safer washing
This insert forms part of the wider Carbon Collective wash system.
