We Say

Koch Chemie B9.01 Heavy Cut Compound packs a real punch! immediately, we noticed how well it cuts through some pretty nasty paint defects. We had some deeper scratches and oxidation on a project car, and B9.01 handled them like a pro. It’s super aggressive but actually leaves a surprisingly refined finish for a heavy compound.

A lot of other heavy compounds leave you with a dusty mess to clean up afterward, but B9.01 keeps things nice and tidy. Less dust means you can focus on polishing instead of wiping down the whole area every few minutes, saving lots of time during the process. It also has a nice, long working time – it didn’t dry up quickly, giving plenty of time to work the product.

Another big plus is how versatile it is. We used it with both a rotary and DA polisher, and it spread smoothly on both machines. It’s definitely a heavy cut, so we followed up with a finer polish to get that final glossy finish, but it really does a solid job at tackling the serious stuff.

If you’re looking for a compound that’s easy to work with and gets the job done fast, Koch Chemie B9.01 Heavy Cut is a winner. It’s a must-have for anyone who does paint correction, whether you’re a pro or just serious about detailing.

Ideal for detailers and car enthusiasts, this compound effectively removes deep scratches, oxidation, and sanding marks, making it an essential first step in multi-stage paint correction.

Aggressive Cutting Power for Quick Defect Removal:
The B9.01 formula is specifically developed to tackle major paint defects like deep scratches, oxidation, and sanding marks. Its heavy-cutting action allows you to achieve maximum correction in minimal time, making it a go-to solution for severe imperfections on all paint types.

Optimised for Low-Dust Application:
Unlike many heavy compounds, Koch Chemie B9.01 is engineered to minimise dust generation, ensuring a cleaner workspace and reducing the time needed for cleanup. The low-dust formula also provides better visibility of the surface during the polishing process, allowing for a more precise correction.

Smooth, Consistent Application with Rotary and Dual Action Polishers:
Compatible with both rotary and dual-action (DA) polishers, B9.01 applies smoothly and evenly, delivering consistent results across the entire surface. This versatility makes it ideal for professional detailers and DIY enthusiasts who seek maximum performance from their polishing tools.

Produces an Optimal Finish for Further Refinement:
Koch Chemie B9.01 Heavy Cut removes defects efficiently while setting the stage for finer polishing steps, allowing for a smooth transition to medium and fine polishes. This product is perfect for multi-stage paint correction systems, enabling superior results when followed by additional polishing steps.

Long Working Time for Complete Surface Coverage:
With a longer working time, B9.01 gives users the flexibility to thoroughly cover all areas of the panel before the compound begins to dry out. This feature ensures maximum defect removal without compromising the finish or risking uneven results.

In summary, Koch Chemie B9.01 Heavy Cut Compound is trusted by professionals and enthusiasts alike for its powerful defect removal and user-friendly formula. With minimal dusting, impressive cutting ability, and versatile compatibility with various polishing tools, Koch Chemie B9.01 is an ideal choice for fast, reliable correction on any paint surface.

How To Use

To achieve maximum performance from Koch Chemie H9.01, proper technique is essential.

1. Preparation: Ensure the vehicle's surface is thoroughly washed, decontaminated (clay bar, iron remover, etc.), and completely dry. Shake the bottle well before use.

2. Pad Selection: For maximum defect removal, pair H9.01 with a Heavy Cut Foam Pad or a Wool Pad. For less severe defects, a standard cutting foam pad can be used.

3. Application: Apply 3-4 pea-sized drops of compound directly onto the pad. Place the pad on the paintwork before turning on the polisher to avoid sling.

4. Polishing: Work in a small section (approx. 24x24 inches / 60x60 cm).

With a Rotary Polisher: Start at a low speed (approx. 1,000 RPM) to spread the product, then increase to a medium speed (1,500-1,800 RPM), applying moderate pressure.

With a Dual-Action (DA) Polisher: Start on a low speed to spread, then increase to a medium-high speed (4-5), applying firm and even pressure.

5. Execution: Work the product in a cross-hatch pattern until the compound becomes translucent or oily. This indicates the abrasives have fully broken down.

6. Inspection: Turn off the polisher and lift it from the surface. Wipe the residue away with a plush microfiber towel and inspect your work using a high-quality detailing light. Repeat the process if necessary.

The Final Step: Perfecting the Finish

As a heavy cutting compound, Koch Chemie H9.01 is designed to be the first step in a multi-stage correction. While it finishes exceptionally well, it will leave behind a slight haze that requires a final polishing step to achieve true, flawless gloss.

For a perfect, show-car finish, it is imperative to follow H9.01 with a fine finishing polish like Koch Chemie M3.02 Micro Cut. This two-step process guarantees the complete removal of all defects and the creation of a deep, wet, and brilliant shine, ready for your choice of wax, sealant, or ceramic coating.
