We Say
Two specialist glass towels, one beautifully clear finish. Clean with one, buff with the other and say goodbye to frustrating streaks.
Cleaning glass sounds like one of the easiest parts of detailing, yet achieving a genuinely streak-free finish can be surprisingly frustrating. You wipe the window, everything looks perfect, then you catch the light from another angle and discover smears or tiny fibres left behind.
Often, the problem isn't the glass cleaner itself. It's the towel. Conventional plush microfibre cloths are brilliant for many detailing jobs, but their longer fibres aren't always ideal for glass, particularly when you want to remove cleaner residue without leaving lint or streaks.
Koch-Chemie Pro Glass Towels are specifically designed to address this. Their exceptionally fine structure provides effective glass cleaning with minimal lint, while the 230gsm fabric offers excellent water absorption for drying and final buffing.
What we particularly like is that Koch-Chemie supplies them as a pair in two different colours, blue and grey. This isn't simply for appearance. It makes it easier to separate the cleaning and drying stages, using one towel to lift dirt and cleaning solution, then the other to remove any remaining moisture and leave the glass beautifully clear.
Each towel measures 60 x 40cm, providing a generous working area without becoming unwieldy. They're suitable for vehicle windows, windscreens and mirrors, and can also be used on other compatible glass surfaces.
We'd pair them with a quality glass cleaner such as Koch-Chemie Speed Glass Cleaner. Use the first towel to clean the surface, then follow with the second for a final dry buff. Keeping the drying towel free from cleaning chemicals and other contamination makes a real difference.
For us, the Pro Glass Towel set is a simple but worthwhile improvement to any detailing kit. Glass cleaning is one of those jobs where the right towel can make all the difference, and having two dedicated cloths makes it much easier to achieve consistently clear results.

How To Use
1) Prepare the glass:
Ensure the glass is free from loose abrasive contamination. For heavily soiled exterior windows, wash and rinse the vehicle before carrying out the final glass cleaning stage.
2) Apply your glass cleaner:
Lightly spray a suitable glass cleaner onto one Pro Glass Towel or directly onto the glass where appropriate. Avoid excessive product application.
3) Clean with the first towel:
Use the first towel to wipe away fingerprints, grease and remaining contamination. Fold the towel into manageable sections and regularly move to a clean surface.
4) Buff with the second towel:
Use the second, clean and dry towel to remove remaining moisture and cleaning residue. This final pass helps achieve a clear, streak-free finish.
5) Inspect the glass:
Check the surface from different angles, particularly in direct light, and repeat the final buff if necessary.
6) Wash and maintain:
Wash the towels regularly according to their care labels. Avoid fabric conditioners, which can reduce the cleaning and absorbency performance of microfibre.
Important Notes:
✓ Use separate towels for cleaning and final buffing
✓ Keep glass towels free from wax and dressing residues
✓ Avoid excessive glass cleaner application
✓ Fold towels regularly to expose a clean working surface
✓ Never use a contaminated towel on glass
✓ Follow the manufacturer's washing instructions
✓ Avoid fabric softeners when laundering microfibre
