We Say
Meguiar's DA Microfiber Correction Compound uses fast-acting super-micro abrasives to permanently remove moderate to heavy paint defects such as light scratches, deep swirl marks and acid etching from original and refinished paintwork. However, unlike its siblings, Meguiar's DA Microfiber Correction Compound is formulated specifically for use with dual action machine polishers, and in particular for use with microfibre cutting pads rather than foam cutting pads. When used in this way with a gear-driven dual action machine polisher, Meguiar's DA Microfiber Correction Compound is capable of delivering the cutting power and work rate of a rotary polisher, but without any of the usual risks. As a result, it's an excellent choice for correction work on hard paint finishes.

Description
Meguiar's DA Microfiber Correction Compound is a fast-acting liquid abrasive designed to be used exclusively with microfibre cutting pads on dual action machine polishers. In just a single step, it permanently removes moderate to heavy paint defects such as light scratches, swirl marks and acid etching, and produces a superior high gloss finish ready for final refinement. Meguiar's DA Microfiber Correction Compound comprises a blend of long-lasting lubricants and precision-milled non-diminishing micro-abrasives (Super Micro-Abrasive Technology, or SMAT for short) suspended in a thick water-based emulsion. Suitable for both original and refinished paintwork, it offers significant advantages in terms of low dust production, superior finish quality and reduced working time.

How To Use
Meguiar's DA Microfiber Correction Compound should be applied to freshly decontaminated paint using a dual action machine polisher fitted with a Flexipads DA Microfibre Cutting Pad. When starting work with a fresh pad, prime it with a dozen pea-sized drops of product first (rubbing the drops in by hand). Only 3-4 pea-sized drops of product are required per 18 x 18 area, and these should be worked in thoroughly at 4000-5000 orbits per minute (speed 4-5 on most dual action machine polishers) until only a thin film remains (slow overlapping passes while applying heavy downward pressure works best). This residue should then be buffed off carefully using a PB Super Buffing Towel. Be sure to brush off the pad regularly to remove as much spent polish residue as possible (if you have a compressor you can blow it clean using the air line) and swap it for a fresh one whenever it becomes saturated. In all cases, the compounding work should be completed and the finish then refined using a foam finishing pad and a finishing polish.
