We Say
Nanolex Ultra Glass Sealant is a state of the art nanotechnology coating that lays down a film of nano-scale silica components and functional additives that hardens to form a fully transparent hydrophobic barrier layer that repels rain, sleet and snow upon contact. The coating works in conjunction with airflow over the car to rapidly disperse water droplets at speeds above 30 mph, resulting in vastly improved visibility and driving comfort, even under extreme weather conditions. Indeed, independent academic studies have shown that similar treatments allow drivers to recognise objects up to one second earlier in wet weather conditions. At 60 mph, this one second advantage can reduce stopping distances by up to 30 m, thus improving safety for everyone on the road. Providing that the treated surfaces are properly prepared in advance, each application of Nanolex Ultra Glass Sealant will last for between eighteen months to two years before needing to be reapplied. We have used Nanolex Ultra Glass Sealant on a number of our daily drivers over the years, and it works exceptionally well, particularly if you do a lot of high speed driving.

Description
Nanolex Ultra Glass Sealant is a silica-based coating that forms a hydrophobic (water-hating) barrier layer on automotive glass. It achieves this by laying down a thin layer of nano-scale silica components and functional additives that harden to form a fully transparent micro-film that repels rain, sleet and snow upon contact. As a result, rain drops and road spray simply bead up and roll off of treated surfaces, and are blown off by the wind when driving speeds rise above 30 mph. Moreover, this beading also tends to pick up and carry away fresh dirt and grime, meaning that the coating is partially self-cleaning (akin to the Lotus Effect in nature). The net effect of all of these benefits is that Nanolex Ultra Glass Sealant significantly improves visibility and driving comfort in poor weather conditions, and greatly reduces the need to use windscreen wipers and screen wash. Furthermore, in the summer months bug splatter washes off with ease, and in the winter de-icing is more quickly achieved.

How To Use
You should apply Nanolex Ultra Glass Sealant in a warm, dry, well-ventilated space out of direct sunlight. To protect your skin, we recommend wearing PB Nitrile Gloves during the application process. In all cases, prepare the glass surfaces you are going to treat by polishing them with Nanolex Glass Polish and then do a wipe down with Nanolex EX to ensure that they are squeaky-clean. Next, lightly wet a Nanolex Cotton Applicator Pad with product and work it in to the surfaces to be treated in a circular fashion, using firm pressure. The resulting film should be left to dry for between 5-10 minutes before being buffed off with a Nanolex Microfiber Buffing Towel, so we recommend treating 2-3 windows at a time (it's also worth replacing the Nanolex Cotton Applicator Pad every 2-3 windows, before it starts to fall apart). After all of the surfaces are treated the coating must then be left to cure for a minimum of 12 hours before being exposed to the elements (it is also wise to avoid washing the treated surfaces for a minimum of 72 hours afterwards).
