We Say
Nanolex WashCoat was one of the first wet maintenance sprays to hit the market back in the day, and, despite increasing competition in recent years, it remains close to the top of the pile in terms of performance. Like its newer rivals, it's designed to be sprayed on to clean, wet surfaces after the hand-washing process, and then rinsed off at high pressure; no wiping or buffing is needed, which makes it super quick and easy to use. And, unlike a lot of traditional maintenance products, Nanolex WashCoat can be used in cool, damp conditions without any issues; as long as it's not freezing cold then it will continue to work normally. This makes it a superb top up product for winter use, when the weather always does its utmost to scupper everyone's detailing plans. In our experience, each application of Nanolex WashCoat has a life expectancy of up to two months on a daily driver, meaning it can be used to temporarily protect bare exterior surfaces too.

Description
Nanolex WashCoat is a spray-on, rinse-off, polymer-based sealant designed to be applied after hand washing, i.e. between the shampoo rinse and drying off. Because it's designed to be applied to wet exterior surfaces and then rinsed off, it's quick and easy to use; a whole car can be treated in less than ten minutes. As a result of being treated with Nanolex WashCoat, exterior surfaces become strongly hydrophobic (water-hating), which not only results in impressive beading upon contact with water, but also encourages a high degree of self-cleaning (as fresh contaminants tend to be picked up and carried away by rainfall, akin to the Lotus Effect in nature). This latter effect is particularly beneficial during the winter months, when grimy roads and poor weather make routine washing more of a chore. Durability is typically up to two months per application on a daily driver, although monthly top up applications are recommend to maintain maximum levels of protection.

How To Use
Nanolex WashCoat is supplied as a highly reactive concentrate and must be diluted to an appropriate strength immediately before use (the diluted solution becomes unstable and much less effective within a few hours of being made up, so always make up a fresh solution every time you use it). For an initial application, dilute 50 ml of product with 500 ml of water, whereas for subsequent maintenance applications dilute 25 ml of product with 500 ml of water. You should apply the diluted solution using either a foam lance or a pressure sprayer; in our experience the former method yields the best results. In all cases, it should be applied evenly to cool, clean, wet surfaces at the end of your usual hand washing process (i.e. after rinsing off the shampoo) and then left to dwell for 2-3 minutes before being rinsed off thoroughly. You should then towel the car dry, or else rinse it again with filtered water if you intend to leave it to dry naturally. Finally, note that you should never apply Nanolex WashCoat in direct sunlight or allow it to dry out before rinsing it off.
