We Say
The RUPES Mille Coarse Foam Polishing Pad is designed specifically for use with the RUPES LK 900E BigFoot Mille and other gear-driven dual action polishers, and is currently available in two different sizes. Both sizes are made out of the same coarse open cell foam and feature an ultra-low-profile design that improves stability and control during the polishing process. This design also features a durable hook and loop backing and a strongly splayed side profile for safety. Although the foam looks virtually identical to that used for the coarse versions of the BigFoot and Nano iBrid foam polishing pads, it is in fact a brand new proprietary formulation designed specifically to withstand the punishing forces generated by gear-driven movements. There is one minor issue with this foam that is worth pointing out, which is that its coarse open cell structure does little to prevent unspent product from being slung out during use. However, this issue is fairly easy to avoid if you avoid overloading the pad with product and always rub fresh product into the pad before putting the machine on the paint and switching it on. This applies for both the initial priming of the pad and the subsequent reloading of it in between sections.

Description
The RUPES Mille Coarse Foam Polishing Pad is manufactured using an ultra-high quality foam engineered specifically for compounding modern paint systems in conjunction with the RUPES LK 900E BigFoot Mille and other gear-driven dual action polishers. As it is designed for heavy cutting duties, this foam is thermally reticulated and features a coarse open cell structure. This structure results in a rapid cutting action and allows air to circulate through the pad freely, thus enabling frictional heat to be quickly dispersed. In order to take full advantage of the powerful gear-driven movement and maximise the transfer of kinetic energy from the polisher to the work surface, the RUPES Mille Coarse Foam Polishing Pad features a low-profile design that performs predictably and consistently without distorting excessively under heavy loads. The RUPES Mille Coarse Foam Polishing Pad also features a splayed side profile with a bevelled lower lip, which improves safety when working in tight spots, and a durable hook and loop backing specifically designed to be able to withstand gear-driven movements and high levels of torque. The RUPES Mille Coarse Foam Polishing Pad is currently available in two different sizes.

How To Use
General usage notes: (i) always select the least aggressive pad you think you will need to achieve the desired result, and step up one grade at a time if more cut is required (ii) always ensure that you centre each pad properly on the backing plate (this can take several attempts to get right, but is vital if the machine is to remain perfectly balanced during use); (iii) always use an appropriate sized pad for the backing plate you are using (the pad should always protrude past the edge of the backing plate, never the other way around); (iv) always prime a new pad by loading it with 4 lines of product (from the centering hole to the edge, forming a cross with a missing centre) and running it stationary on the paint for 30 seconds at low speed; (v) always ensure that spent polish residue on the face of the pad is brushed off regularly during use using a RUPES BigFoot Claw Pad Tool (failure to follow this advice can lead to micromarring of the finish, so don't be lazy!); (vi) after use, soak each pad in a bucket of PB Snappy Clean Boost solution for 15 minutes and then rinse under fresh running water (using your fingertips to massage out any remaining polish residue) and allow to dry naturally, and; (vii) while not in use, store in a dry, dust-free environment (lidded plastic storage boxes are ideal in this respect).
