We Say

SOFT99 Fusso Coat F7 is the liquid version of SOFT99 Fusso Coat Wax, and is designed to be easier to apply and remove. By swapping out the synthetic paste used as the carrier in Fusso Coat Wax for a very thin solvent-based carrier solution, SOFT99 have certainly achieved this aim; Fusso Coat F7 is the runniest sealant we've ever used, which makes it an absolute doddle to apply. However, because it is so thin, it is easy to over-apply, so you do need to be frugal with it, otherwise you'll negate the major benefit it offers (i.e. easy application and removal). For this reason, we recommend you pay careful attention to the tips provided in the How To Use section below. From a performance point of view, SOFT99 Fusso Coat F7 is just as good as SOFT99 Fusso Coat Wax in every respect other than durability; the use of a liquid carrier rather than a paste results in less of the protective resin (PTFE) being laid down, which reduces durability to around six months. This is still an impressive figure for a polymer-based sealant, especially one that is so easy to use. We particularly favour using SOFT99 Fusso Coat F7 as a basecoat for SOFT99 Water Block Wax; this combination offers excellent durability and the tallest, roundest water beading we've ever seen!

Description

SOFT99 Fusso Coat F7 is a durable synthetic sealant with class-leading hydrophobic (water-hating) properties, and makes use of cutting edge TSI (Top Shield Impermeable) and WARP (Wipe Assistance Radical Power) technologies to ensure optimal performance and ease of use. Comprising a fluorine polymer (resinous polytetrafluoroethylene, or PTFE for short) suspended in a solvent-based carrier solution, it dries and cures to form a hard protective film that is extremely hydrophobic. As a result, rainfall and rinse water bead up and roll off very quickly. This extreme beading not only looks good, but also tends to pick up and carry away fresh contaminants, which makes routine washing easier and safer. In addition to these benefits, SOFT99 Fusso Coat F7 also produces a sharp wet-looking shine and provides excellent protection against bird droppings, bug splatter, road salt and UV radiation for up to seven months per application, even on daily drivers. These properties make it an excellent choice for standalone use, and ideal for use as a basecoat beneath the less durable but more hydrophobic or aesthetically pleasing sealants and waxes in the SOFT99 range (e.g. Water Block Wax for stronger water beading, and King of Gloss or Mirror Shine Wax for more wetness and gloss).

How To Use

SOFT99 Fusso Coat F7 should be applied by hand. For best results, it should be applied to freshly cleansed paint (cleaned with either a strong panel wipe such as SOFT99 Silicone Off or Bilt Hamber cleanser-fluid, or, if a degree of minor defect correction and filling is required, an oil-free paint preparation product such as Bilt Hamber cleanser-polish). Only 5-6 drops of product are required per panel, and these should be applied as thinly and evenly as possible using either one of the supplied foam applicator pads or an Auto Finesse Dual Foam Applicator Pad (we favour the latter, as its finer pore structure spreads a thinner film of product, which makes it easier to buff off). Try to avoid getting it on unpainted trims, but if you do be sure to wipe it off straight away, otherwise staining may occur. The resulting film should then be left to dry (for up to 15 minutes) before being buffed off carefully using a PB Deluxe Buffing Towel. Don't be tempted to apply it too thickly or leave it to cure for longer than specified (if you do you will find it more difficult to remove).
